The Flatbush “Phlatbush” Story Flatbush… It’s all in the name! Tah Phrum Duh Bush has lived in Brooklyn his entire life. Flatbush has been 95% of it. Tah roamed the streets of Flatbush as a kid on his skateboard and saw all the ups and downs as he navigated just about every road imaginable. From the hood to the bourgeois to the rich neighborhoods, Tah developed a roadmap in his mind and a passion for his hometown unsurpassed by any he has ever known. People often asked why he made such a big deal about his beloved Flatbush. Tah finally came to a point where he felt that he must put it out there for all to hear: an anthem for those who are proud of Flatbush and a welcome mat for those who don’t know about it. “Flatbush” encompasses a great deal of the main geography of the neighborhood. It also addresses the cultural diversity and the realness of the social and environmental climates that affect the area. There are over 40 languages spoken in this epitome of the New York melting pot. Flatbush has been deemed the most culturally rich place in America as of 2003. “The Flatbush Remixes” release is a pinnacle in our efforts. It represents the city where the ups, the downs and the “all-a-rounds” that are one with the nurturing of an artist and the creation of a successful recording company are located. We are proud to say that the Flatbush Remixes have become a big part of securing funds for the construction of the Bold Hope Community Center.
